The Salvation Army - Together

This was an absolute bargain. Sadly I did not realise I already possessed a copy, but the CD was up there in my lifetime top 20 and I happily bought it for full price previously. I will enjoy giving my new copy to someone who will appreciate it. Quality and variety music of general appeal.Read full review...

The Salvation Army - Together (CD 2008)

This is the first 'mainstream' album from The International Staff Band of The Salvation Army released one month before Christmas 2008. Obviously designed to capitalise on the Christmas market, this CD has helped propel the profile of The Salvation Army and its fund-raising to new levels.

A terrific album for anyone, whether they love or loathe brass bands, there's nothing here to offend anyone!

The Salvation Army Together

I decided to buy it because we are a Salvation Army family, I was a bit dissapointed because it had a 'sameness' about it and there are some really great Army band pieces that would have been some contrast to the other songs. It was very nice to have secular singers such as Aled Jones on the album. All in all quite a nice record, but could have been better.Read full review...

The Salvation Army - Together (CD 2008)

Being a long time lover of Salvation Army bands and their music it makes a welcome change to hear them playing some of the classics on this recording. It seems a long time since we saw anything in the High Street shops from the good old Salvation Army and I hope that this will be the start of a new avenue of income for their great organisation who are kept busy throughout the world in their role as both a church and a charitable organisation.
I look forward to the next album and I for one will be at the front of the que to purchase it.

Simply Stunning

For all you brass band lovers out there, this is a wonderful selection of pieces for easy listening whilst relaxing. The arrangements are beautiful as you are taken on a gentle voyage of emotions. There are three vocal arrangements with guest artists Aled Jones, Lesley Garrett and the Fron Male Voice Choir. I particularly enjoyed Aled's song - Make Me A Channel Of Your Peace - in which his wonderful tone soars through effortlessly. With the final piece of the Cd, who can beat the full harmony and sound of a male voice choir and band. Enjoy!!Read full review...
