If you want a device to get you from A to B then this could be ok for you. It does traffic as does the Garmin though usually, by the time that you arrive at the blockage then all nearby roads are already blocked so the traffic information is of little real value. Also like the Garmin, it handles POIs badly. POIs used to be something that were loaded by the user and were highly relevant to that user. Nowadays the devices seem to come ready loaded and the POIs are mostly irrelevant. It is still possible, though difficult, to load your own POIs but it seems to be impossible to get them to show up on the screen. To me, this ability to show my own POIs on the screen is the whole point of the device so, for me, this device is very poor. Thankfully, I still have my old TT 720 which is still working despite being tediously slow, having a tiny screen and having well out of date maps.
All in all, I would not buy a TT6000 again. Without my POIs my phone does as good a job.Read full review

Good size screen

Its very good it has a large size screen and lots of detail im very happy with it. I've only tried it once on a trip I knew it did exactly what I wanted it to do.

I read lots of reviews as which sat nav to buy. My main thought was to get an accurate map reading device with lifetime map updates for free. I drove to remote parts of northan Greece after updating my secondhand device. This Tomtom worked very well and never caused any problems even on the front screen in full sunshine and a temperature of 43C. I was very impressed.Read full review

i read other reviews on this satnav and can only say that in my own opinion this is a great product ,i don,t know if the software has been upgraded but as yet i haven,t had any problems with it, i like the voice guidance which is very concise with clear and frequent instructions, it also has a nice colour screen.Read full review
