Not as good as older Tomtoms

More features than my trusty old XXL. It has more features but a horrible, non-intuitive, GUI.
There is a problems when planning your route on your phone and sending the result to the Tomtom. Under these circumstances you cannot plan ahead for another day as the route on the Tomtom ALWAYS starts from your current location, not from where you planned. The Tomtom also pickes a different route from that on the phone, not always a better one.Read full review

TomTom Go v One

The TomTom Go Basic does most things you need from a navigation unit at a reasonable price.

The display is bright and clear and the audio also loud and clear. Good for an open top car.

I purchased this Item as an upgrade to my old and faithful TomTom One. Basically the Go does the same thing but with a better screen.

However! I have to say that the old TomTom One is far easier to set a destination and alter on the go than the Go.

The Go requires you to press a tiny icon at the bottom of the screen to return to the settings whereas the old One just needed a tap anywhere on the screen surface.

The Go then presents you with another line of icons which must then be navigated before you arrive at the setting you wish to alter.
I guess I will get used to it eventually but it will never be as convenient to use as the ONE.

It's simple to use, it's reliable, it's fuss free, it's clear, and it always gets me to where I want to go, even if I do mess up and take the wrong road or turnoff.
It's easy to sort out an alternative route if there's something unexpected on the road, or I change my mind and want to go somewhere else on the way.
I am confident that I will get both to my destination, and home again, with Tom-tom, even in areas and road networks that are totally unfamiliar to me.
All in all, it's quick and straightforward to use, and it's a very good thing indeed.

Not a good quality. I should not have bought it. Very low light even I put it on full bright mode. Hard to see the map. Useless. I would definitely go for a new item not the used one.
