Good but needs fine tuning

I have had truck sat navs in the past and decided to try the Tom Tom. It starts up quick and has good features like the WiFi and speed cameras. It would be nice if the keyboard had both the letters and numbers together instead of switching when inputting a post code also it asks me every time to confirm my truck status like the height and weight. I drive the same truck everyday not like an artic that changes trailers and has different heights and lengths. Overall it’s better than my snooper.Read full review

A satnav that lacks ‘common sense’.

Some of the advised or suggested routes are just ridiculous. Sometimes wanting to send a 12T truck down a farm track unsuitable for large vehicles for a 40 minute journey, when just carrying on straight on the normal suitable roads take 18 minutes less and 13 miles shorter. On another occasion it took my 14-foot truck to a 12 foot bridge (whilst showing the road through the bridge as inaccessible), instead of giving me the correct route to avoid the low bridge. Meanwhile, it fails to recognise that my truck will easily fit under various arched bridges of much greater heights. Far too many flaws for the cost.Read full review
