Grade 201 Stainless Steel
Few people understand or care about different grades of stainless steel; grade 201 is designed for consumers looking for cheaper alternatives to more expensive grades used for industrial applications.
That's not to say there's anything wrong or inferior with their quality - quite the opposite. They have a reduced nickel content making them cheaper and ideal for any general-purpose application both indoors and out.
The cheaper grade simply means they're more corrosive to certain chemicals and not the strongest in terms of tensile strength - but they're absolutely ideal for the casual 'home-user' or DIY enthusiast for any home projects and in that respect this makes them perfect as they're not as expensive as higher grade stainless steel which few people need for odd jobs around the home but is often all you can buy from large suppliers.
These are a great value selection, easily resized if they're too long - just hacksaw or dremel the excess away and make sure you file the burrs and rouch edge off the thread afterwards - better too long than too short and useless!
Buying loose packs to make a similar set would cost a whole lot more and this is a great selection of common widths and like I've said, if they're too long they're easily cut and filed.
