Good upgrade for HP Mini

This has been a good hard drive upgrade for my HP Mini 1000. Previously I had a small 16GB SSD which was running out of room after upgrading to Windows 10 and installing only Firefox, Bitdefender, and Thunderbird. Stable

At 4200RPM this 60gb IDE Hard Drive is about what you'd expect. It's not fast, but makes up for it's lack in speed for its size and stability.

The 1.8" ZIF connector is a dreadful design. And this particular drive has issues with the plastic clip being unreliable and easy to break. I'm not sure if the drive I received was older stock and the plastic had deteriorated, or if Toshiba just uses cheap-crap plastic. No matter what the case, if you order this hard drive be extra careful with the plastic ZIF connector, because it absolutely sucks...

In saying all this I will rate this hard drive 3 out of 5 stars for it's stability and spacious storage for its small size.Read full review
