Bought to help my daughter prepare for GCSE

If you don’t feel confident with vocabulary or pronunciation it is easy to sit quietly in a French class and make yourself small. This course gives confidence early on, allowing a child to be able to say useful sentences in French and participate actively in class. I’ve used these courses in several languages myself, and really think they are outstanding, especially when combined with other learning experiences such as school or evening classes, or visits to the country. Like playing the piano, you need a degree of fluency for a language to be useful and for that you need confidence. This course gives confidence in bucketfuls.Read full review

Great learning tool.

Having learned some french at school ( donkeys years ago) I was keen to learn how to speak more fluently, making sentences instead of learning whether items were masculine or feminine.
This set of cds certainly get one moving on quicker in one week of listening - to and from work in the car - than 4 years of disinterest in school.
It is clear, each word builds to make sentences, I have listened to the first cd over again until I’m sure I know the words.
Very good method of learning, Michel Thomas has a easy way of teaching and explains the pronunciation - I would recommend this set of cd’s.

Good moaning.

A superb way to learn a language for those of us who struggle with the concept of different languages. Un stuffy and effective. I took this to France when I moved there and it’s simplification of a language makes communicating effective enough.
I forgot a lot so bought this to reacquaint myself. It’s working

Good for learning

Good set of CDs for learning French. For someone my age, it is a little confusing in that not all are audio CDs - there are some discs that are designed to work on a PC. Since I do not have a PC, they cannot be used. Also, the titles of CDs can be confusing as well. Having said that, the first CDs that I have listened to are good and original ones by Michel Thomas. Later, it is his method that is used by another presenter, which I shall have to get to before I can comment upon them!Read full review

Very good method

Comes in very professional packaging.
At first the teacher's accent sounded very strong but once I got used to it it was fine.
The method is excellent, very easy to remember and ensures you can think out what you want to say rather than memorising a phrase.Read full review

Perfect

I bought the Micheal Thomas cds for a lot of money but stupidly didn't realise I had no cd drive on my laptop so I could only listen in the car. I have purchased this and it comes in a google drive and I can download to my phone and laptop exactly as I wish! Very happyRead full review

A very different way to learn French

Michel Thomas was a talented man that discovered a very different way to learn languages. The teaching is well paced.
You are asked to join in with two other students in learning French.
No lists to remember. You learn by absorbing what is being said but without actively trying to learn or remembering. Strange but it works!Read full review
