You can get a very good full body workout, although it would be nice to have some higher resistance levels for some exercises (like squats and pull ups) but you can add weights with an additional attachment, I guess. Very impressed with this Total Gym

The Total Gym shipped to me as "reconditioned" was perfect.Everything in the original wrapping -- it had obviously never been unpacked or assembled before. At 1/3rd the price of a new one!

I have been following the startup program now for a couple of months and have started to lose weight and gain strength. Chuck Norris wasn't kidding when he said that this works muscle groups you thought were already in pretty good shape. The full range of exercises you can do with this gym is fantastic. This is everything I hoped it would be and more.

A Nice Option for Pilates

Is well made, has lots of attachments. Functions smoothly. Purchased mainly for Pilates types of exercises but may expand to other exercises eventually. The refurbished unit was in excellent condition and set up was very easy. The only disadvantage was the lack of workout videos but the reduced cost of the unit makes this a great value.

Cons: As with any product it’s what the company fails to mention that you need to watch out for. So let’s start with how big this thing is, because it is long when it’s unfolded ready for use, please plan accordingly. Because this product is a “total gym” it try’s to do too much, and with any piece of equipment it is well suited for some exercises and not so much for others. One little nit-picky thing, the safety pin on the height adjustment is loose and does not stay in position.

Pros: well built and sturdy. Great for leg press workouts. I think 80-90% of exercises this machine does, it does well. Read full review

Total Gym for top fitness
