Toy vehicle mayhem

This game is designed purely for a group of friends to drive toy machines, collect upgrades and destroy each other. It is very difficult to get the hang of targeting each other and in 2 vs. 2 it's almost too easy to puppy guard a place and stay alive. you almost have to come to agreements on what vehicle to use and what not to use. Recommend playing this with 4 people to make things more interesting. I bought this solely for multi-player. never even gave single player a chance

Toy Commander-Dreamcast: Excellent Product

I have just received Toy Commander for my Sega Dreamcast today. Opening up the envelope, the case was even wrapped in saran wrap to help protect against the elements.

The case was in amazing shape with the manual, as well as the front and back covers. Most importantly that the disc itself was nearly mint!!

The Dreamcast fired it up immediately and played as it should. No issues at all!

Great Game For Kids Young And Old

How can't you like flying around in a toy plane or driving a toy car? It is like being a kid again making up a epic struggle between good and evil with your toys the only difference is that in this game you get to be one of the toys!

Some of the younger kids might get frustrated with the game as many of the missions require near perfect performances to beat. It also gets a bit repetitive since you have to repeat most missions 5-10 times before you get the timing down and figure out exactly how to beat a level.

Multiplayer is great fun although not that challenging since you can just look at the screen and see where your opponent is.Read full review...

Relive your child imaginations

This is a great because it opens your imagination that you had as a kid playing with toys. In the game you are controlling toys through objectives and fun scenarios. Don't expect some compelling story line or crazy action. The game is very creative and unique. If you are a fan of the army men games, you will like this. I remember standing outside the mall on 9/9/99 at 1:00 AM waiting to get in for my reserved Dreamcast gaming platform. Nearly nine years ago. Unfortunately my Dreamcast and its games were stolen about 5 years ago and I still have vivid images in my mind of my all time favorite video game for the Dreamcast - TOY COMMANDER. By far one of the most well rounded video games ever made - especially for its time. Why well rounded? Let me tell you what I mean. As most other males I like to shoot weapons, race cars, give to the chase and challenge my skills and Toy Commander has it all in an environment that is not violent, not bloody or full of gore and exceptionally challenging. Call it the "Toy Story" of video games. Every kid would love to see his toys come to life and just like the movie (animation to be correct) "Toy Story" this game does exactly that. It gives you control over the toys in your room with fun missions, excellent multiplayer capabilities that will leave you laughing all the way through. With a formidable assortment of vehicles at your disposal, you never get tired or bored of the action and challenges. If you like military vehicles (tanks etc...) they are there. If you like flying you have helicopters and airplanes. Trucks and other land vehicles you ask? Well, you get the picture. Tons of fun, Tons of excitement and tons of laughs. This is a game you will be comfortable letting your child play.

I have nearly every gaming platform that has been designed in the past 20 years and honestly, Toy Commander is the one game that I enjoyed the most. I just bought a Dreamcast on-line just to be able to play it once again and share with my son who is 11 now. Even though this game is about 17 years old, I have to say it is still the best game out there in my opinion. Back in 2003 my uncle gave me his SEGA Dreamcast Sports Edition along with many other games including Toy Commander, 4x4 Evo, 4 Wheel thunder, NBA 2K 1, and NFL 2K 1. Although Sega systems are long gone, this is one of those games that will have you blow the dust off the unit and play with a wired controller again. Toy Commander is fun, and clean. You can let your kids play this and walk away without any worries of offensive content. One player up to 4 players you can still have the friends over for a classic battle.
