Very Beginning Banjo

I think Banjo is tough if you want it to sound good. So This DVD is a good step in the right direction. It gives you a very good starting point on learning Banjo Rolls, Lead ins & turn arounds.
I am not sure that he stresses how important it is getting the rolls down first before you can go any further in the video. It will take time to build up the Picking patterns, But it will blow your friends away when you finally get them down. Also buy a metronome if you do not have one to practice with.
I like this series of videos I own the Beginning Guitar, Violin, Blues Guitar, Dobro & and this one. They are all well made and I am happy with the purchases.Read full review...

I have another Learn how to play the banjo and I wish now I would have bought this one first, More information also the book that comes with it is very helpful the close ups of fretting helps

It starts out by giving me some simple exercises to practice. That's as far as I've gotten. I am motivated by this method.
