It works well and is easy to install, depending on where your XM tuner is located. The difficulty in installation has nothing to do with this product, but purely on how your car is built. Serves the Purpose.

I purchased the USA Spec BT45-HON3 to be installed in our 2005 Honda Odyssey. The kit comes in a vacuum formed package including the owners manual, interface module, two cables and a microphone. In this installation I also used the Rerii 2 meter USB-35mm AUX extension. USA Spec BT45-HON3 was clean install with the factory matching 14-pin connections. The installation requires a person with installation experience or a professional installer . Although this Odyssey is XM ready the tuner and XM attena were not installed. The Interface module, CAS-H3t and CAS-H3x were installed as described in the instructions for this application. Device paring was simple to an iPhone 6. Very good audio streaming with very impressive sound quality. Calls are clear but not easily received because the controls on the steering wheel do not function with the interface module as described in the instructions. Placing a call is not hands free and the instructions included do not address (how to place calls). This was a disappointment as complete hands free operation was expected. In instruction manual the table of contents offers a Troubleshooting & FAQ but the page has been left blank. The same is true on USA Spec page.Read full review

Great Product

It was fairly easy to install once if you know how to take apart your own car. I installed this on my 2008 Honda Accord LX. The sound quality for music streaming is superb and surpassed my expectations. How ever people have told me the mic on the product makes my voice higher then normal and couldn't recognize my voice had i not told them it was me. I do not know if this is a defect with the product or if it is like that from the box. That is why i am rating this a 4 out of 5.Read full review

Execllent upgrade

I was a little skeptical based on the generic-looking hardware, but hopeful based on the reviews. This Bluetooth adapter didn't disappoint - easy hookup after a quick youtube search to take the dash apart, and it work flawlessly right away. Easy pairing, good sound quality. Initial handfree mic feedback from people I've called is that it's ok - not great. Adequate for occasional calls, probably not great for taking a business conference call from the road.

BT4-HON bluetooth

I am very satisfied with this Bluetooth for our Honda Pilot. It was a little difficult to install in the back of the wheel well where the SM radio box is located but worth the functionality compared to installing it behind the radio. I tried it in both locations. The mic cord just makes the distance to the back of the vehicle. I would recommend this product to get Bluetooth in your older Honda cars. Read full review

These really do work better

I've owned these and I've owned the common less expensive ones. They all work to some degree, but the US Spec one is the one you want if you're doing it for your wife. You won't hear about any Bluetooth connection drops, weird config things. These really do just work.

I buy cheaper for myself because I can handle the little hiccups. But USA Spec is much nicerRead full review

Good addition for adding Bluetooth

Installed in a 2009 Honda Accord Sedan LX-P. Took a whopping 30 minutes to install due to taking apart the center console. Sound is clear when playing music from my phone & clear when streaming sound from netflix or youtube video. If you are streaming audio from a video, be prepared to turn the volume up. It plays low, however this is not because of the Bluetooth module.

As I didn't have an XM tuner to plug into, the wiring harness plugged directly into the back of the radio. The top dash display does not display title/artist information due to not having another specified OEM radio. If you have the XM tuner and applicable radio, title/artist information will display (according to the manufacturer instructions).

Call clarity is great as well. I have been on the road several times over the last month that I've had to take customer calls without problem. When answering a phone call, there is a slight delay for the audio to pick up & play through the car speakers.

I do wish the microphone was smaller and a little more aesthetically pleasing to the eye, however it may cut back on picking up your voice. Not too worried about it, as the microphone is mounted on the headliner near the rear view mirror and is out of the way.

I did not setup or buy a USB cable or setup the auxiliary options on the module. Streaming can be done via Bluetooth. If you are sporting an older generation Ipod without Bluetooth, the auxiliary cable will be an option for you.

In all this was a great option to add hands free and Bluetooth audio to my OEM radio. My wife's truck has Bluetooth/hands free calling, however doesn't stream audio via Bluetooth. She wants me to find an option so she can stream via Bluetooth much like this module provides. I may very well look into installing a US Spec Bluetooth module for her truck. Read full review
