THE WAY A COVER´S ALBUM SHOULD BE DONE

I love Joe Lynn Turner´s "Undercover" album; this lead singer who participates in almost every tribute album(Deep Purple, AC/DC, Ozzy Osbourne, Iron Maiden, etc.), realizes a wonderful job showing his ability to deliver a vocals like no other.

After his participation with Rainbow, Yngwie Malmsteen and Deep Purple (among other proyects); JLT recorded his 3rd. solo album remaking classic tunes from the 60´s, 70´s and 80´s, the song list are:
Grand Funk Railroad´s "We´re an American Band"; Jimi Hendrix´s "Freedom"; Free´s "Fire & Water"; Rainbow´s "Street Of Dreams"; Creedence Clearwater Revival´s "Fortunate Son"; Ides Of March´s "Vehicle"; Deep Purple´s "Hush"; Righteous Brothers´s "Unchained Melody"; Marvin Gaye´s "Chained"; Traffic´s "Gimme Some Lovin´"; Spencer Davis Group´s "I´m a Man", Bad Company´s "Deal With The Preacher"; Cream´s "Sunshine Of Your Love" and a good song that said co-written with R. Blackmore(a mistake of print) "Thief In The Night", but this song is a remake of Fandango (the first group of JLT) and is co-written with Rick Blakemore(this man is a guitarrist too, but is not related with the genious of Deep Purple).

In this album you found excellent songs, music and arrangements (all of them), even if you don´t recognize some artists or titles, you probably heard them in a Classic Rock or midnight FM stations (and if you´re not this is an excellent opportunity to listen this great songs), and excellent playing, included a great group of musicians like session players Tony Bruno and Gary Corbett, 2 ex-menbers of Ritchie Blackmore´s Rainbow, Greg Smith and John O´Reilly and a guitar virtuoso Al Pitrelli(Asia, Megadeth) who plays lead in 2 songs.

If you buy this album it´s worth every penny. A Must Have. A++++++++++.
