Great Strips, Great Price
I've been using these strips for around 3 years now and I've had great luck with them. I was leery of generic strips at first but I made several comparisons between these and $1/per strip strips. These were always consistent with the rediculously priced name brand strips. Never had any problems with them. I check my blood 5-8 times a day because I'm worried about going "hypo". As you all know, that's a lousy feeling. At this price I don't have to worry about breaking the bank.Read full review

Not worth the risk of the erroneous data...
I tested these side by side with my current One Touch Ultra 2 test strips. The readings were CONSISTENTLY higher than the One Touch test strips

I currently lowered my A1C from 11.3 to 6.9 in a three month period using my One Touch strips. If I went by the readings of the Unistrips, I would have consistently taken way more Insulin than was necessary.
Readings from the Unistrips were in a range of 25 to sometimes 85 points higher than the One Touch strips.
Being that I like to keep my readings in the 90 to 110 point range, seeing a reading of 180 to 200 would have prompted me to take too much Insulin to get to my "normal" reading. Consistently having low blood sugar can be as harmful as high blood sugar.
Based on my findings, I cannot, in good faith, recommend Unistrips as a valid replacement for One Touch Ultra 2 Test Strips

Monetarily they are a good bargain, but for practical applications of blood sugar monitoring, not so much! This my personal opinion based on 4 weeks of daily testing comparing the two brands of test strips (120 tests). All I can say is that if you find that they work for YOU, that's as good an endorsement as one can get. I, unfortunately cannot give that endorsement!!Read full review

Good value on accurate strips
I've used these strips for several years. They work well. I've tested their accuracy with a standard test solution and they have always come in right on spec. If you have a meter that can accept Type 49 strips, I would recommend these for accuracy and price.Read full review

Great Strips at a better price
Price is great. One Touch Brand is so expensive. Love my One Touch meter and these Unistrip Generics work just as well for a little less than half the price. They seem to give me true readings. I use two meters to make sure my readings are as accurate as possible. Read full review

Great Product, Great Price.
This is the third batch of these strips I've purchased. I couldn't stomach the idea of paying fifty cents to a dollar for each strip with the name brands. I think it's insane to pay that much. I test myself several times a day (5-7) mainly because I fear "going hypo". I tested these against the name brands the first time I got'em. They were all veryy close.
Some of the other name brands I had were way off. These have never let me down and for the price you can't beat'em. I've never gotten any freebies, my review is strictly based on being excited not to have to pay a fortune for a good product.Read full review

Readings are off the charts
We were hoping we would be able to find something inexpensive to replace the test strips my husband gets now since our insurance was changed to higher prices. He compared readings with these and with OneTouch test strips. The results were VERY off. At one point, it read 20 over and at another point it read 100 over. It could result in a serious or deadly situation if you were to just rely on these readings. You could end up giving yourself not enough insulin or TOO much insulin. If these were more accurate, it would be a good value. But with the readings being sporatic, I wouldn't recommend these to anyone until they get it corrected.Read full review

Works Very Well for Us
We've used these for 1.5 yrs with the One Touch Ultra 2 meter to test our dog's, and at one time one of our cat's, blood sugar. If we think we're getting a funky reading - we retest with the AlphaTrak meter. If we didn't have a cost savings like these - we wouldn't be able to have kept our pets. And I hope by writing this review as such - doesn't jack up the prices. People and animals alike, need to be able to afford treating their diabetes cost effectively.Read full review

Distinctive without hype
A diabetic has no choice to stay healthy if they don't test. With the cost of medications, spending unnecessary money on name brand testing supplies when the Unistrip test strips work just as well, hands down. I am grateful that I can get these and save money for other medications.Read full review

Good for the price
I was able to recently compare readings from use of these strips with my doctor's lab results. I tested using these strips before and after having blood drawn at the lab. The lab procedure took only 10-15 minutes. The "before" test was 3.7% below the lab result, and the "after" test was 9.2% below the lab result. I would prefer better consistency and accuracy (hence my giving only 4 stars), but I realize there are inconsistencies with all test strips--and even with the pro labs.Read full review
