An Excellent simple and easy Universal remote
For those that have owned this type remote, it is so much better than the new ones that try to stuff too much and too many features and functions (and actually do less). I like the simplicity of this universal remote because it doesn't require any other attachments to my devices.

The touch screen is way to sensitive. It changes channels, or may change activities when setting the remote down. Sometimes you have to touch the screen hard or several times for a selection, and other times it makes a selection by passing your finger over it. The design makes it more difficult to hold and make selection with one hand. Not as easy to use as my 950 design.Read full review

Good Remote that works well with it's companion RF base station.
Binary questions such as "Is it easy to program" require only a yes or no answer. I believe the remote is more difficult to program than the older MX-350. The MX-350 had a cloning feature, which the MX-450 lacks. IN my opinion, programming the MX-450 is moderately difficult. Read full review

Great Design, Easy to Program
Once you understand the menu levels and how to use them this remote is a snap to program. It has a nice design with good tactile feedback buttons. The best thing is you don't need a computer or separate software or an expensive technician to program it. You can customize almost every button to learn from your current equipment's original remotes. Very easy process in fact I think it's faster than the "search for codes process" because I have yet to see that process work 100% so you end up trying code after code to end up with only a portion of the buttons working. Great remote
I bought this remote because I already own one. This was to replace my current remote in case it stopped working.
I didn't realize that the newer remotes are not software compatible with the older remote. I had to program the new one from scratch. Since I don't do this for a living it took a while.

New firmware NOT COMPATIBLE with older units!
I already have two of these and use the PC software to save and restore everything I've created... unfortunately, this last one I purchased has newer firmware and will NOT accept any of my macros or settings from the older version. Of course, the older ones can't be updated to the new firmware, either, so I'm kind of stuck. I was going to return this one, but decided to hang on to it and, maybe, I'll pickup a couple of the newer version somewhere else.Read full review

The screen is cloudy and difficult to read. This is likely because it is used, and I have no idea how old it is, but since the screen is not very clear or detailed, it is difficult to program. May have to purchase a new one in order to program it to work with my equipment.Read full review

Easy to program, missing the 4 color buttons.
Would be nice if this have the 4 color buttons. I create a 2nd page just for those buttons. Other than that, great remote with narrow band RF capability, such as MRF350.
