Great fast-paced arena first person shooter. Haven't gotten into the campaign yet but played some multiplayer with bots. Checked out Xbox live but it seems online is dead for this, which is a shame. fun but very difficult

game is very fast pace and reminds me heavily of Gears of War, but in first person and if it was multiplayer only. The game can be very difficult at times, which can made some one rage.

UT3 (XBox 360)

Great game any Unreal fan would appreciate! Tremendous replay value with instant action & the ability add mutators. The campaign is short but to no surprise because well us true Unreal fans are in it for the multiplayer & instant action.

The graphics are spectacular but as with most console games these days, game play is sacrificed for shiny graphics. I would have given this game an Excellent rating but, it's lacking in mutators. Where is Vampire? Or quad jump? What about the ability to tweak the slow mo settings. Nope, not even that. Whats Unreal without Vampire?!!!! UT3 is a great game but no comparison to Unreal Tournament 2004.

Well it's still Unreal & lots of fun & replay, but to me without all the great mutators whats the $60 price tag for? Now if you can do like I did & find this game for about $40, it's well worth it! And for anyone wanting some great Unreal Tournament action without sacrificing mutators, check out Unreal Tournament 2004, or even the original Unreal Tournament ... you won't be displeased

Unreal Tournament III (Xbox 360, 2008)

First impression: the same studio (Midway) that produced Gears of War also produced this game and it shows as they both share some of the same character templates, game mechanics and seamless environments.

the scenematic storyline in campaign mode is good. instant action is classic Unreal, fast paced and addictive.

graphics are smooth and detailed. interface is once again as flawless as GoW. even those new to first player shooting games will have NO PROBLEM getting used to the controls and diggin in to the game.

I'm a huge fan of Unreal Championship II, GoW/GowII and this offering once again doesn't disappoint.

Unreal Game

I have been playing Unreal Tournament 3 for the Xbox 360 for about a week now. Lemme tell ya this game is crazy addictive. After a long time playing Call Of Duty 4 this is a welcomed change. The fast pace and crazy weapons really make this a unique experience. The online multiplayer is non stop fun. The only annoyance is the set up times for the matches. I wish they could speed that up a bit. The maps are very interesting but I think they will get old quickly.. especially if you play often but im sure they will come out with some expansion maps in the near future.

I was completely horribe in the beginning but now I consider myself a decent player. Learning the weapons and being able to switch between them quickly is the key to success in Unreal Tournament 3. I did this by playing many online multiplayer matches and received some good tips from players on XBOX Live. I seem to be playing alotta first person shooters and Unreal Tournament 3 is at the top of my list for a fun time.Read full review...

Looking for a pc shooter on the 360, look no further...

This game isn't one of the best shooters on the 360, but if you're looking for a super fast shooter and nice challenge, then this might be the game for you! It looks pretty good in terms of graphics, though it is still one of the earlier games out there for the 360 so there are better looking games. The entire game plays like an online multi-player game due to the matches and bots, even in the story mode. The cut-scenes are pretty much the only thing separating the story mode from the other modes. There are loads of guns and action thanks to the instant respawn system unlike Halo and some others, which keeps the game fairly exciting for the most part. If you are on a budget and want a fast, good-looking shooter that will entertain for a good few weeks, then pick up this game! UT3 is an awesome multiplayer game

I just received the game yesterday, and since then, I've been switching off between UT3 and Modern Warfare 2. Unreal is a great game, extremely realistic, and has great multiplayer modes. It takes a few hours to get used to, but if you've played Gears, you'd like UT3. If you like futuristic FPS games (but I didn't like Halo, and I liked it) I'd definately buy it. The only downside is the controls are difficult to get used to if you're coming from some other popular FPS games like Halo or COD.Read full review...

Unreal has unreal gameplay!

Pros
Fast paced, excellent multiplayer and very smooth graphics. The unreal engine makes for the best First Person Shooter experience.

Cons
The multiplayer that I have played so far is lacking diversity. All the death match games that I have joined in the last couple of days has been Rocket Launchers. Lets face it, that gets old quick!

Great Game! This game holds up the series strong name with another hit!

This is a fast paced 1st person shooter, where the user takes control of any custom variation of the available humans or aliens in the game. Armed with a large variety of unique weapons, the user is placed in many different well crafted stages. It is similar to the Halo series in many ways, but the action is faster, the combat is more intense, and the landscape is very high quality. During the match the player is able to get ammo, health, weapon, and body armor upgrades, making this a game that allows for the underdog to rise to the top and conquer. Also, there are a variety of creative and unique vehicles or every size and caliber. This is truly a gaming experience that even the toughest critic would enjoy! Nice change of pace game.

Fan of the Gears or War series? If your looking for a muliti-player shooter that's different from the rest this is the game for you. Using the same engine as gears of war, UT III is a fun, fast paced, easy to play game. Game has a campaign (a bunch of multiplayer maps tied together with cinema), but it's got tons of maps for muliti-player. The game also has BOTS, so you and a friend can team up and kick some computer butt. A good value too, as you can pick this game up for under $25. Nice change of pace game.
