DHW Heat Exchanger change on Vaillant Ecomax 828e

My previous DHW Heat Exchanger started to give cold water batches. I was able to overcome this problem by raising the temperature level at the boiler.
However this also meant that it was unable to provide the required temperature heated water at the previous setting anymore. This could be due to the accumulation of scale in it, resulting in it using more gas to bring it to the same temperature.
After fitting a new replacement I was very pleased as I was now able to get a much hotter water at a lower boiler temperature setting. This means that my boiler is much more efficient. Hence it is worth considering fitting a new one after about 5 years of use.Read full review...
