Ideal Oil for Oldies

I have used Valvoline VR-1 for some years now, as it is ideal for my Ford Cologne V6 engine, as it contains a higher level of zddp additives (zinc & phosphorus) for enhanced protection for the valve train and bearings.
I have found that newer synthetic type oils are too thin for my engine type, and result in much lower oil pressure.
I strongly recommend VR-1 Racing 20w 50 mineral oil.

Good oil for classic air cooled Japanese motorbikes which tend to run quite hot

I use this oil in Honda CBX 1000 6 cylinder motorbikes and it seems to work well. These engines can get very hot in warm weather and when caught in slow moving traffic.. It’s getting hard to find good quality mineral oil now so I was pleased to find this one. Read full review
