I WISH I saw this a LONG TIME AGO!

I never saw this anime but when I watched it, Vampire Hunter D has this very nostalgic feel to it: the music, the sound effects, the animation itself entertained me and I felt like a kid again.
And even the previews felt nostalgic watching them. Watching this on VHS seemed like watching a piece of history, something before my time, something I was unaware of.
Despite being obviously low budget and average voice actors, I still thoroughly enjoyed this anime. From what I read, Vampire Hunter D only had an english DUB so I thought that was weird.
My favorite part is when D is fighting Rin Gensei, Rin thought he was going to overpower D but fails. The scene reminded me of old kung fu movies!
I was originally was going to buy the Vampire Hunter D bluray edition but many fans complained of the bluray's english dub because it wasn't the original cast (it was re-dubbed in recent years) and that the voice actors of the new bluray dub were lackluster.
This anime is basically about a half human half vampire being who is hired by a young woman to kill the vampire that has bitten her. A minimal story here, but most likely expands more into depth when reading the original manga. I'd still recommend this movie though.
