Van Vault 2 S10810 Storage Tool Security Safe Lock

Decent size and good value for money

I bought this vault to keep tools secure in a domestic lockup. It is very good value for money and hopefully will be adequate for the job. The free cable that came with it works well for securing mowers, bikes, etc and is a good idea although not the heaviest one you could hope for. The vault itself has four holes to fix it to the floor and I drilled another six to make it even more secure! It is pretty well made although the catch that holds it open is not quite in the right position and is quite tight to get in place. The gas strut to open and close the lid in a softer controlled way works well. The thickness of the sheet steel that the vault is made from could be thicker but is adequate and, considering the decent size and very reasonable price, a pretty good deal. Excellent Buy

Having had this a while now I can highly recommend it. It goes in and out of the back of my estate car easily and I can get an awful lot of gear in it. I fitted wheels to it to make moving it around site even more easy. Overall I think it’s an excellent buy.Read full review

Good and Sturdy.

Great Idea, but the changes from the MK1 with the lip along the back make it difficult to get Dewalt T stak cases in, just 5mm more in the width between the top would make it so much easier. Also the ram needs space in the box which cuts down on what can be placed in the middle. I'd happily pay a little more to be able to get 3 lots of 2 deep boxes stacked on top of each other.
