Might just be me but would prefer my money back.
Have seen many videos on knife sharpening, particularly as I got into wood carving. I've not enjoyed much success with these skills. I can get a fairly decent edge but not that razor blade finish that falls through paper they often demonstrate. This is the latest gadget I've purchased and I would prefer to have my money back. Its doesn't do anything better. Its just a straight stone in a large pen style case. Also has a small inserted v shape double edge sharpener which dare I say it, for this famous, name appears a bit plastic and cheap. The best sharpener I've ever owned and still do was a old kitchen knife, wood handled sharpener with discs of metal forming a v sharp. Makes a satisfying noise when you run knife through and leaves them very sharp. Its crude and probably files off too much metal off, but it gets the job done. Well made knife sharpener.
You don’t use this sharpener like a chefs steel. The instructions are on the back of the card the sharpener comes with. The ceramic is for making your blade edge straight, if you have a new Victorinox Swiss Army knife like me you won’t need that for a while, but the smaller V section has come in handy for one or two old knives. Victorinox dual sharpener
Really pleased with this sharpener, very well made and really good to touch up the edge on your knife in the field. Victorinox sharpener
Great little gadget to keep penknife blades razor sharp. The main sharpening stone is nice and fine but quickly brings back even larger dull blades quite quickly. The honing, ceramic stones \ sticks under the cap, finish off the process quickly, safely and at the correct angles for small blades like that found on the victorinox penknives.
