VG730M doesn't have exceptional sound or picture quality but does the job!
I bought this monitor as a relatively cheap replacement to an old CRT monitor. The old monitor still worked but I just wanted something with a smaller footprint on my desktop. This fit the task because it's a fairly slim LCD monitor and it has the built-in speakers. For the price-point, it's an okay monitor in terms of quality but it does its job. Within the first year I did have to take apart the monitor and replace two of the capacitors because the original ones burst. Thankfully, it was a cheap and simple fix. But if you don't know much about computer systems or know how to solder (and you have this issue) then it would be an expensive fix taking it to a repair shop. All-in-all, it's decent and I've had no other issues. The sound is sub-par and the picture quality is average. If you just need another monitor, I would get this one if you can for under $70. Otherwise, I would just spend the extra money to get a nicer HD widescreen LED on sale.Read full review...
Awesome Monitor!
I love this monitor...the color is great. love the adjusting lift of the screen to adjust to height of user. decided to buy when I looked at internet to see which would be the best overall and this one was rated the best. I will buy another one for my other computerRead full review...
ViewSonic VG730M 17inch LCD Monitor works great!
This was a great monitor to hook up to my laptop! The colors and clearity are great and very easy to set up and use.
Would recommend to others AND purchase again as needed.
