excellent for the money

We have had a robot vacuum cleaner (a Roomba) for many years, but it started showing it's age and even a replacement battery and brushes etc didn't help. So decided to get another.

The Roomba had quite a few fancy features (for eg being able to schedule it to start cleaning at a particular time), but we never used them. Also it was quite fussy with the docking station and didn't always latch on, so in the end we dumped that.

So for the new cleaner we had a good idea of what we wanted: something that did a decent job on dust and loose detritus; was plugged in directly to charge; was easy to clean and a button to press to start/stop cleaning, Everything else we deemed superfluous.

And for this criteria, the Vileda is excellent. Does all we want, with the possible exception of the filters, which can only be got for cleaning if you remove a few screws.

If your requirements - like ours - are simple, go buy: silly to waste money on features you don't need.Read full review

Pleasantly surprised

Good little sweeper, works well on carpet and hard floors it won't replace a regular vacuum but is great if you need a little helping hand. I have 3 messy kids, 3 dog's and a cat so after a long day at work this really helps if I don't have time to get the regular vac out also doesn't wake my baby if he's sleeping down stairs.Read full review

My Wonderful Vileda Robot

I was very reluctant to purchase one of these but at the price I thought that it would be worth a punt I must say it is superb and it is very good for Jess the general vacuum cleaner as it gets into all the corners it certainly does suck up and brush the floor as a normal upright vacuum cleaner Wood albeit with being able to only contain a relatively small amount of muck even tested it in a room that was 24 foot by 14 foot by putting tiny pieces of paper around every square foot of the room and this vacuum cleaner picked it all up so I am very impressed!Read full review
