I am a teacher at a small, rural very poor socio-economic school in southeastern Missouri. Our funds are very limited and books are not kept up-to-date. I love Ebay and often buy lots of books for my students to read and pass on. I had read Violet Eyes the year it came out and my copy disappeared over the years of loaning it out. The high school kids loved the book because it was different and led to discussion about what and how and could it happen. When I noticed it was on Ebay, I just could not resist. Needless to say, the students are loving it just as much now. As a matter of fact, it is already being passed to a fourth person to read. Don't you just love it when students love reading?
