Virtua Tennis 09
I thought I would buy this game as I was interested in owning a tennis game on the PS3, as I generally don't have a lot of sports games (I caught the tennis bug after watching the Australian Open on telly!). I had had Topspin 3 on the PS2, and had enjoyed it, and was hoping for more of the same style with Virtua Tennis 09. Top tip: Always do your research. Virtua, whilst fun, is a totally different kettle of fish to Topspin, in my experience. On my first play of the game, I was looking forward to settling in to a 6-set epic with my newly created character. Sadly not. The matches are limited to three games, Virtua is intended not as a realistic game but as an arcade one. I was personally disappointed, that isn't to say there weren't good aspects to the game, there were, but it just wasn't what I was after. I played it, I would say, for about a week before getting completely bored with it. I would have liked to get more out of it, obviously, as one of the best features of sports games is their capacity to let you play for hours and hours on what is essentially the same thing over and over, but for th 5 pounds I paid, I can't really complain.Read full review...

Still not played as just got p4 but i advise p3 is still a better buy for gamers with friends
Excellent gameplay & good graphics.
I originally bought this game for its 2 player option. Its a great game with good graphics although I'm yet to fully delve into the world tour mode yet. The only complaint I have is that my friend keeps beating me!!Read full review...
Virtua Tennis 09
I bought this because I played Virtua Tennis 2 on the PS2 and like the mini games more than the actual playing tennis. Virtua Tennis 2009 again excels with the mini games, fun and enjoyable.
great game very addictive
very fun game, really enjoying it. the ony problem is that once you get the hang of it it doesnt really get that much harder. it gets a little quicker etc but the play is basically the same. i enjoyed the world tour although its a bit slow to get going.
other than that its a great two player. really fun to play with friends and family, especially seeing as its so easy to pick up quickly it makes it great fun going against each other, especially the doubles which can be hilarious.Read full review...
