Ideal cutter for the DIY as long as the motor is NOT pushed by gentle moving the tile to the blade and let it do the cutting. Water collected on top of saw is drained back to the reservoir,although a bit messy. I drilled two 8 mm extra drain holes on top of the table immediately above the reservoir . Measure approximately 60 mm from edge of front and back of lifting plate and drill the two holes into the recess nearest to the blade of the plate (NOT THE RAISED EDGE)., be carefully and check underneath for hole clearance as the lid is strengthen underneath with rigid boxes. I found this helps with the draining but be warned it will probably invalidate the warranty. It can be a bit noisy during operation and obviously much slower than a manual cutter for the same price but anything below £90 is not recommended as the slide bars tend to bend and the cutters wear out quickly.
