Really too early to know, but I've been taking this for about 3-4 weeks and my hair seems thicker and my bald spot is filling in nicely. Can stop wearing hats real soon! I'm also finding new hair growth around my hairline...I also don't notice hair anywhere else growing thicker (thank goodness-thoughts of having to use the hedge clippers...) All in all, it is certainly a lot better than it was before, and I expect the good results to increase. Need to Take for Several Months

You have to take this product for several months per insert to see results & I only took for 1 month as it is expensive & beyond my funds. Most ingredients can be found in other hair products but this contains a "Maritine" ingredient from the sea which I think is probably highly effective as it has great reviews & things from the sea usually have good benefits for us. I'm sorry I couldn't take longer & see more results as I lost 3/4 of my hair this year because of allergies to all hair products & trying to grow it back. Really Works!

I first read about this product in a magazine article where Reese Witherspoon said she used it to keep her hair healthy from heat styling. After I had my son years ago I noticed thinning near the hairline on my left side and it has progressively gotten worse. So three months ago I decided to bite the bullet and spend the pricey amount on this product, and I have not been disappointed. I took pictures of the spot before I began taking it to see if after the three months they say it takes to really start taking affect I could notice a difference. Within the first week I could feel small, short, 'spikes' of what I thought was new hair growth. I was not wrong. These spikes have since grown into longer pieces of hair and the pictures after my first three months show a pretty considerable difference. The balding spot has noticeably filled in and the overall length of my hair has grown overwhelmingly fast. I have just began my fourth month and I am a believer, it is worth every penny in my mind. I'm growing new hair!

I used to have the most beautiful, thick hair. My hair stopped growing 15 or so years ago after my cancer surgery. I didn't have chemo, just radiation. Didn't lose my hair during or after my radiation. Started very slowly. Doctors are not sure if this was a coincidence or if it was the lack of Estrogen. I have "Alopecia" or Male pattern baldness. I am a female, 67 years old, living in Midwest US.

I have been using Viviscal for the past 4 months along with some other supplements that my Dermatologist recommended. Nothing fancy. They are all over the counter medications. I cannot take Estrogen replacements because of my Cancer history. I am happy to say there is a noticeable improvement and I am starting to grow hair again. .

Supplements Really Work

I was recommended Viviscal from a friend who used it after going through Chemotherapy. Even though I have not gone through chemo myself, I have horribly damaged hair due to a decade of straightening, coloring and perms. I followed the directions and took one supplement in the morning and one in the evening. I have been doing this for 5 months now and my hair has already gotten a few inches longer. It especially helped when I doubled my daily dosage to 4 supplements a day rather than 2 (always consult a doctor before upping any recommended dosage). During these 5 months I have even colored and resumed straightening my hair and it still grows.
Just a couple of things to keep in mind:
1. At least for me, Viviscal also sped up the growth of my eye brow hair-- I didn't notice any changes in my body hair.
2. The supplement does not taste very good so take it with a flavored drink to help get it down.
