Was cheap but you get what you pay for, only wanted it to mount 4 close pic

Bought it for cheap work on Internet it just make the pics I require at close range only. As a new product I would not recommend any camera with a pop out lens as they are very easy to damage and useless after.Read full review...

Visitation digital camera

Cheap and nasty, screen too small but it is what it is and for what I paid, I can't complain.

Good 'Night Out' camera!

The Vivitar 4345 is a good little camera for what it is. It is a fairly straight forward 'point and shoot' digital camera with a 3x optical zoom and 4 megapixels without viewfinder. In most situations the lack of a viewfinder does not present a problem although the LCD screen is not large by today's standards. The 3x optical zoom works fine and my advice -as with any camera is forget digital zoom, its not worth the poor results it achieves. This 4MP size is fine for 6x4 and 7x5 prints and even A4 size prints are acceptable. If you want poster size prints though you will need a 6 to 12 MP. The Vivitar 4345 has a reasonable amount of manual controls via the top dial and menu settings if you want to get a little creative. It is able to record movies with sound too although it it no match for a good video camera -but its not meant to be -and records a quite acceptable movie. The length of the movie, as well as the number of photo's you can take, are dependant on the size of the memory card -SD format- and I have successfully used a 2GB card in this camera.
AA size alkaline battery usage, like most digital cameras is generally high and therefore I recommend investing in a few rechargeable AA's of at least 2000+ mAh which will pay dividends very soon.
If you can pick up a 4345 cheaply enough, I can recommend it, I find it is great as an occasional use or spare 'night out' camera for the kids and perhaps to even keep in the car just in case I forget my best camera.

Vivitar 5385 Digi camera

Great little camera just what I wanted a point and shoot but it turned out to be far more than that if you wanted it
it has all the sound record video and on auto takes a great picture but for the more experimental it contains lots of adjustments to set up your pic's manually
All in all a good camera for a starter with lots of bits to play with before deciding on a more expensive model
Plenty of cheap second user ones on sale and plenty of information including a manual on the web
