A VERY FINE TENOR

I really enjoyed listening to my Russell Watson CD. Nessun Dorma is my favourite song on it.

Russel Watson - The Voice

Have been a Russell Watson fan for years, but just never seemed to own this CD.

It was his first, was No.1 in the UK Classical chart for a year, only knocked off the top spot by the release of his second album. He is the ONLY artiste to have No.1's in any chart on both sides of the pond at the same time.

A brilliant debut album and a good starter if you've never been 'into' classical music before. His later albums just get better and better. The only exception to the classical theme is his 5th Album, That's Life, which is a collection of Frank Sinatra, Matt Munroe, Tony Bennett type covers. Proves his versatility, but I miss the soaring tenor voice that can stop traffic!!

Have seen him live (and met him!!)and his concerts are amazing. It's still hard to believe the power and volume of The Voice!

He has recently published his autobiography, Finding My Voice, which will make you laugh out load and cry, in equal measure.

Would be quite happy to provide other information if required, just contact me, but please try this album, go on YouTube and listen to the clips, once heard, never forgotten!!!!

Russell Watson - The Voice

I bought this to replace my original but now scratched cd which I've had since it first came out. Russell Watson can sing anything from rock to opera and he has an amazing voice range. This is a great cd to relax with or listen to in the car. It is not just the quality of Russell's voice which makes this cd so good but it's also the choice of songs and arias; the most memorable include Panis Angelicus, Nella Fantasia, Bridge Over Troubled Water and the inspiring Nessum Dorma.Read full review...

The Voice is so appropriate for this album

When I first heard this album I couldn't believe that Russell was singing all the songs. His voice is so different and gentle on the more popsy type that I still have difficulty accepting that it's him; however, I like it. I'm not too keen on Funiculi-funicula, which I remember from my childhood, but the others are performed wonderfully and with skill. Since this album, Russell's voice has improved tremendously, which says a lot for this and other early releases. I would encourage anyone to buy this album, sit back and enjoy.Read full review...

Russell Watson - The Voice (CD 2000)

I bought this CD as I usually love this sort of music to drive to but it wasn t really as good as I had hoped, though I have enjoyed listening to Russell Watson when he has been on TV. I will stick with Katherine Jenkins in future!!Read full review...
