As always , cinical about gadgets , especially budget ones. Once you've understood the instruction s ( it's only 3 buttons ... ) you can produce proper coffee. Quick , good
pressure , water tank good for about 10 cups. Really pleased with it ( I owned a coffee shop with professional machine ). Milk frother - always a compromise - remember to flush tube first. Ok for a cappuccino not a big jug but it works with practice . Brilliant gadget. Recommend.Read full review

Good coffee machine

I had various reviews about this product some a bit negative, but mostly positive. From the word 'Go' it worked perfectly. Excellent cup of coffee each time and HOT! Steamer works exceedingly good too. espresso machine

This was/is my first ever coffee machine. Fed up with instant coffee, I wanted a machine that would accept real coffee rather than pods, and I did not want to be tied to a limited range of flavours. I realise that pods are cleaner and tidier, especially handy if you are in a hurry.

This machine brews lovely coffee from ground/packet coffee. The coffee you put into the machine needs to be finely, or very finely, ground for the machine to extract the full flavour. Some supermarket ground coffee is quite coarse in texture and not really suited to this machine - although it will still work if you have coarse-ground coffee you need to use up.

My advice avoid skimmed milk as it does not froth up. Semi-skimmed or full cream milk work better and produce a more satisfying drink. Internet sites exist where you can order exactly what you want and have it delivered to your door.

A challenge to start with

It is a bit difficult to fathom out at first but after trial and error I eventually found out how it works, but to me the instructions are just no good at all. I was blasting hot water through when it should have been making steam or frothing, but I have managed to work it out now.Read full review

Remove the black nozzle for best foaming results

Fast warm-up. Excellent brew and crema. Good steam pressure. Remove black nozzle if you want smooth micro-foam rather than a bubbly mess.

Absolutely brilliant, don't hesitate

I bought the Vonshef 15 bar for my wife's birthday as she is a fan of costa coffee,
I read many many reviews for a huge range of different espresso machines, this one topped them all, and I can see what,
Very easy to set up, simple to use unlike other makes as the reviews state they are too faffy, great crema, nice and quick, frothing wand easy to use and produces a very nice froth, perfect size machine,
I simply cannot think of a single thing I would change, my wife uses it everyday and says the coffee tastes very much like costa's so it's a win win,
If your after an espresso machine at a great price don't look any further,
My father in law paid £450 for his espresso machine and after 3 months use one of the knobs dropped off, the coffee tastes no different to that of the Vonshef,

Easy to use, makes a nice cup of coffee once you get the right height and size of cup and jug.

Still working well

I've been using this machine for a while now. Still going strong. Foaming is best without the black foaming tool, but the tool is fine if you're not after proper microfoam. I do wish the wand was either at a little more of an angle or longer as a big jug can be awkward, but that's my only wish to improve this machine.
Really easy to clean and descale when needed. A good sized water tank and a big enough filter for 2 espressos in one use.Read full review
