Looks good and is nice and quiet.....
This is slower to dispense than our previous instant kettle but it's MUCH quieter and looks so much better. The tank is also bigger... another plus. Still trying to get used to switching it off manually so we've put it on a deep tray as the overspill tray that comes with it can't cope with my lack off attention!!Read full review

Never going back
Like most of us, I have used the traditional electric kettle my whole life. Nothing wrong with that of course, they are great.
However, I decided this time to try one of these instant hot water units.
This particular model is the VonShef Instant Hot Water Kettle, 2.5 Litre model.
'No More Waiting For Kettles To Boil! Yay!'
Easy to operate, just attach the drip catching tray, fill her 2,5L capacity tank up, plug her in and switch her on.
Then put your cup / tall glass / mug under the spout and press the button above.
A light illuminates your cup really nicely, and then a very satisfying gurgling sound begins; a little like a coffee maker but quieter. Within 5 seconds, boiling water flows into your mug. It'll take around 30 seconds to fill a standard coffee cup, then switch it off again.
Hey presto! That's it!
Although it has a drip tray, it hardly ever drips more that say one or two droplets after pouring.
I have nothing bad to say about this unit at all.
It is easier to fill back up again; even easier than a kettle, as it has a large door at the top to pour your water in through. (A litre jug is provided)
Most kettles are 1.7 ltr capacity, where this is 2.5ltr capacity, which really makes a difference.
If you live in a hard lime water area, then use a limescale remover every few weeks and there won't be a problem, as I found out.
Honestly, given the choice, I'll never go back to waiting for a kettle again.
As an added bonus, we are saving on the electric bill as well as being friendly to the environment, as instead of boiling a whole kettle full each time we want a brew, we are only boiling the water we need, as it leaves the unit. - Marvellous!

No more Kettels .
I've only had this a couple of weeks and I love it ....I have made sure I have read exact use ...don't get distracted when it's on other wise it will over flow so make sure you stay with dispenser when it's on ..I don't think I could go back to a kettle.....it's going to be hot water dispensers all the way now I love the design,colour , price, an all round winner....Read full review

Tips after you buy
Works great and you boil only the water wanted so there is no waste of energy which you always end up paying for. Only issue is that you need to run about 5 Ltrs of water through the unit to get rid of residuial taste but after that its fine.
Other point is you must NOT get distracted when you start filling a cup as if you walk away to answer the door your in trouble so use it as it should be used and all is fine. After a week I’m finding that the boiling water is not ejecting straight into the cup but splutters around somewhat and this is only just starting to happen which is a shame because up to now it’s been fantastic. Only using filtered water in the unit and I will monitor it a bit longer but I hope it does not get any worse as me and the wife like this unit.

Has to be the best thing we did when we bought this. Does exactly what it says on the tin and more than pleased with this. Water is hot pretty much instantly and every cup of tea tastes great. No more waiting for the kettle to boil. 🙂 The only thing I would improve, which isn't a major issue really, is for the water to be dispensed quicker but to be honest that's the only thing I can think of.
