Perfect Replacement for original Atmel AVRISPII

This is it. The actual perfect replacement for Atmel's AVRISPII which is no longer available.

Sure, it looks identical, but far more important it ACTS identical. We use these for bootloader programming dongle for a product that uses ATMega1280. When Atmel stopped making the AVIRSPII I tried some other supposedly 'compatible' which were not. They did not come set up with the same ten pin connector (you had to mess around with changing connectors, adapters, etc) and even worse they required additional/special drivers, and then you're lucky if you can get them working.

But with THIS device, we just take them out of the box, plug them into our board, and program away with STK500. No special drivers, reprogramming, etc. Perfect!Read full review
