Direct replacement in less than 5 minutes
Grabbed my spring clip fliers pulled the first clip after pulling off the blue rubber cap. Pulled the second spring clip. Replaced the inner lock. The only thing that was a little miss fit was the new blue cap didn't go on so well (probably needed to be forced on more) so I used the old one. That was okay because the ladder still looks original with the old blue cap.Read full review

It's priced where it made sense to repair rather than replace. Good quality. If they had offered the smaller parts from the old style it would have cost a lot less. But compared to the expense of Ladders, and how much utility, it made it worth keeping.Read full review
