Westworld (DVD, 1998)

A great film, so well made, you'll want to own and re-visit.

Remarkable special effects for a movie made in the early 1970s.
Compelling scenario, very intelligently researched and written, presented, and directed, by the creative genius Micheal Creighton.>The same who created Jurassic Park.
Good acting, all around, Richard Benjamin, and James Brolin
come across well, as modern contemporary Chicago exurbanites, who seek adventure in an old wild west setting. Yul Brenner, is intimidating as a dressed in all black gun fighter, and reminds of his staring in the incomparable classic Magnificent 7. Many notables in secondarily roles
including Star Trek's Majel Barret, and Dick Van Patten, plus a host
of extras you'll recognize from other westerns. Great film, entertaining
to watch, and well made, that it's great to revisit. Not to be confused with more recent episodic remakes.Read full review
