Whistler WS1098 Digital Desktop/mobile Radio Scanner

Good Product

I must admit I was afraid to buy this brand because I knew very little of Whistler and it is pricey. I took a chance and I do not regret it. Of all the reviews I have read none of them said anything bad about the way it received. I mostly seen "difficult to use" or "impossible to program". I must say using a pc is the only way to program it. It can be programmed through the face but I wouldn't advise that especially to someone new to scanners. Even the procedure of uploading and downloading took time to learn and is a bit confusing actually borderline frustrating but once I got passed that I am very pleased with this unit. Small & very compact

Well to get straight to the point - UNLESS YOU ARE A ROCKET SCIENTIST, YOU HAVEN'T GOT A CHANCE TO HEAR ANYTHING OTHER THEN THE WEATHER STATION.
Now that being said I'm sure there must be a way to program this product, but I have yet to find it.
If you think that by reading the manual you'll be able to simply program this unit - you will be sadly disappointed, for sure. Simply because after at least a dozen attempts plus - NOTHING!
So for now I'll listen to the weather station which is a mere touch of a button that shows "WX".
Plus I will continue to read, study & hopefully learn the manual in order to program this unit.
If possible "avoid" buying this unit - unless you are a Rocket Scientist - then go ahead.
So far I have an expensive clock (display) sitting on my desk.
Now you know the rest of the story. The story that no one wants to tell !!!!!!

Whistler 1098 police scanner
