Good, but not great

I ordered this for me and my daughter because we enjoy playing Wii sports together, and I figured this would be similar.

It’s good, but it feels a little dated. IMO Wii sports is way better/more fun, but for $5 it’s definitely worth a go. The best feature is the pool game.Read full review...

Only has 2 games

There are only 2 games (target shooting and finding people) that are accessible. The others show pictures on the display but can’t be clicked in to play. They are greyed out. Not sure why

Laser Hockey, Ping Pong and TANKS! R great games

Wii play is a Wii original. It is one of few very good wii games out to date. It packs 9 games that are actually addictive as well as competitive. Some of them can get too repetitive like the duck hunt look alike and the cow racing. A couple of them I avoid all together like fishing and Find Mii. However the best games like Laser Hockey and ping pong make this game worth getting. My personal favorite is TANKS which is an in depth strategy shooter with a very simple scheme that allows you to blaze thru hundreds of enemies on up to 20 levels on 2 players or up to 100 levels on single player with no resume point if you lose all your lives! The 2 player is set up as a kill competition but its alot funner when you and a partner work together to finish all the tough levels. TANKS is the only reason 'I' would get the game but there's still much more to Wii Play. definitely one for the Wii collection for years to come.Read full review...

OVERALL: A good game at a great price.

Games Included:
Shooting Range: very similar to Duck Hunt from the original Nintendo days
Find Mii: a brain game that progresses from simple to your level (even if that may be a really high level) -- great game
Table Tennis: ok... I greatly prefer Tennis on Wii Sports
Pose Mii: meh... would be better if the control twisting were more responsive
Laser Hockey: love it
Billiards: Only 9-Ball and it does not follow the combination rule -- meaning a successful 3-9 combination will not end the game. The cue control takes a little time. Overall: another good game.
Fishing: not for me... might be fun for you.
Charge!: easy to control and fun to play
Tanks!: not for me... might be fun for you.

OVERALL: A good game at a great price.

Good Wii Beginner Game to learn the system, accessories on.

This is a good Wii beginner/starter game to play to get used to different accessories, the system, so on. I still haven't tried it, however, I do enjoy watching my husband playing the games, being silly at least for a while. :-) Easy to play. Would recommend for new Wii users or rather New video game players. (Like me.) The shooting game isn't as easy as it looks, those ducks and targets go by REAL fast. Have had problems getting zapper to aim very well, have to use nanuck remote to shoot them. Only draw back can think of. Enjoy. Good price, quality too.Read full review...

easy fun games for kids and all

The games on Wii Play are quite simple to play. Most of them can be a lot of fun to play with your kids, and can be enjoyable for adults. They are fairly simple and a great way to increase your skill with the Wiimote. I least liked the ping pong game and the pong style hockey game. We rarely play those two. Several of the others are enjoyable to play, though. Both my 4 year old and my 10 year old love to play many of them. They also really enjoy interacting with other Mii's we have created through this game.
However, if you are going to pay the money for this game, spend the extra $10 and get it with the extra remote. If you already have 4, use it as a backup, sell it to a friend, or make a couple of bucks off it by selling it on eBay.

WII Play - A Breakdown Description

This game is not exactly as I imagined it to be after experiencing wii sports games. That however was my fault for not reading despriptions about it before purchasing it which is why I felt I should write this review.
If your looking for fun games to play this may not be the best choice. However if you are new to the wii and want to learn how to use the controllers better, this is definatly a great choice! The games are short and sweet and very precise with the movement of the controllers. It teaches you in a fun way how to aim, shoot, steer, etc. and has definately improved my wii abilities. When you can get this game with the remote it is definately worth the money. I bought it cheap and without the mote for a family member so they can improve thier control and have move fun as I found I did!

Wii Play review

Wii Play is a tutorial Of 9 mini games. It teaches you how to use the motion sensing aspects of the wii-mote. Such as using it as a fishing rod, a pool stick, a gun, a pingpong paddle, airhockey paddle, horse reins, or a joystick for a tank game. I felt that this was not as engaging as most wii games. This is good for newcomers to this platform. My six year old loves to play this.i recommend this for beginners and young children. For something a bit more engaging in the same genre is Carnival games. This has all the games you would find at the carnival minus the junk food. LOL. You are able to play for prizes and tickets, which are necessary to play some games just like the carnival. you can also trade in small prizes, i.e. 3 sm = 1 lrg prize etc... you can also visit the coin sweeper machine, the claw machine, or the fortune teller. It is a great game for adults and children.Read full review...

This is cool for 2 people!

Nintendo Wii: Wii Play is pretty cool if you have another person to play with. After awhile of playing by yourself it becomes boring. But if your competing with another person is makes it a bit more fun. The graphics is the same as the Wii Sports, as well as the sound. You have a game where you can play fishing, cow racing battle tanks; you have to clear each level by shooting the other tanks before they shoot you, same body pose bubble; you change your Mii pose to match the pose in each bubble before the bubble makes it to the bottom of the screen. And there are a few more games on there too. But overall out of 1 to 10 I would give it a 7. I hope this helps in your decision to purchase this game. I recommend if your into battles or just into trying to beat your old scores.Read full review...

A fun and affordable time for the entire family.

This is such a basic game. Graphics date back to the old Nintendo days, but yet yet it is terribly addicting! We got this originally for our 5 year old, but a couple of games are so much fun to play! With a bunch of games to play it makes it harder to get bored.

Our favorite family game is the fishing game...we have little tournaments...so much fun. We also like the Mii game, Tanks, Pool and the shooting game.

If you are looking for some cheap entertainment, and care more about fun than graphics quality, then Wii Play is definately for you.
