A great book for learning about edible plants, easy to look at, light enough to carry around
The book arrived quickly, is of good quality - slightly shiny pages so could be taken out to use whilst foraging which is a bonus. Large enough to pack plenty of information it is not too large as to be daunting plus another advantage for carrying it out with you on your walk. The pages are well laid out, the introduction gives a great insight to Sergei's back story and makes the read even more personal and compelling. The topic is presented clearly with good detail without being either overly complex, or confusing but also not condescending. I have browsed through a few times as it is new to me and look forward to reading more in depth and eventually taking out with me. I love the full photos alongside the descriptions, the break down into both Latin and "common" names, the "Sergei says" tips and pointers as well as having some recipes at the end. Personally I rate this highly and find it a book that succeeds at what it sets out to do. Currently a friend has borrowed my copy because I raved about it and despite her great knowledge is finding it insightful and useful. Recommended!Read full review
