A little out of date but a good grounding

Inheritance tax rules are tinkered with whenever the Chancellor of the Exchequer decides, which is too often. There would have to be a 2019 edition, not 2008, to be totally up to date, not 2008 as this is.That is the reason for 4 stars rather than 5.
Having said that it is a good basic book for a bewildering subject. As someone who worked in the Estate Duty Office for some years, (after a legal qualification and 6 months training), I would not say the rules have simplified. Rather the reverse. If you want, or more probably need, to understand them this is an excellent place to start. A new edition would be even better.

Excellent guidance

Bought this as I had to help someone and act as an administrator. Full of great guidance for planning for a will and what needs to be done with or without a will. Highly recommended for all ages and all situations.Read full review
