Finally a Signal!

I bought this booster because I had ZERO signal on my cellphone at my home. Took me a bit to find the best location for the window unit, other than that, no problem. I needed something wireless and plug and play, this fit the bill on both counts. On good days I have 4 or 5 bars, other days at least two. I think outside conditions do affect the booster signal to a certain extent. On a cloudy or stormy day t's hard to get a signal at all. All in all I'm pleased with this item.Read full review

Antenna Broke

Poor quality in soldering cable inside antenna. While unpacking cable came out from inside antenna. I opened antenna and resoldered. Works great now.

Pricey but worth the money.

I live in a rural area out in the sticks. Getting a high speed Internet service is next to impossible. Our phone company is outdated with no hope of ever improving. Fiber is a very long time away. I had a good satellite Internet service, but it was expensive and it went out every time it sprinkled.

I looked for other options to get good Internet service after my contract ended. I found a cell phone wireless service that looked interesting. I recently subscribed to them and have very satisfied, however my signal was weak. I was only getting between - 85 to -102 db. This was working fine, but I'm a perfectionist. I wanted a strong, solid signal.

I installed the right type of antenna on my TV antenna tower and aimed it in the perfect direction to my local cell tower. Even though I tried several different signal boosters in the correct frequency range, I wasn't getting any improvement. Finally, I contacted my providers customer support department and they advised me to try the Wilson amplifiers. They told me they were expensive, but well worth it.

Taking their advice, I purchased this item and installed it, my signal level has jumped up to -57 db with full bars. No, it doesn't have much range, but it takes care of what I need. The technician of my service provider thought I was on a good track. It's better to have four lanes of traffic than two. That's what I haven achieved with this item.

For those having cell phone reception problems, I highly recommend looking into this.
