Better than original by far.
I used this to fix an aluminum extension pole that I use for all sorts of things, from broom tips to paint rollers to asphalt spreaders around the house.
It is a basic part of my tool set for home repairs and was not cheap when I bought it.
However its original tip was weak plastic and broke right in the middle of a major job (driveway sealing).
This is made from die cast metal and should last more or less forever.
It was a perfect slide-in fit to the extension pole and only needed a drilled side hole and a self tapping screw (not included) to make it permanent.
Under five minute installation even with drilling the hole.
VERY happy with it as it fixed a perfectly usable $20+ extension pole that would otherwise have been scrap.Read full review

Tip for the day
These generally don't break from painting use. I use the painter poles with concrete brooms cause I need the quick variable lengths available with the pole. Unfortunately I break a few but that's the price for getting the job done by any means available.Read full review
