Excellent addition to my old HVAC unit.

Works well and from all I can tell it does everything other smart thermostats do at a much lower cost. I did have to use the enclosed wiring adapter at the HVAC unit, which added some install time, but the instructions on the app were excellent as well as many YouTube videos.

I have not added the remote sensors yet because I want to see if I really need any.

Needs Firmware updates

I think Wyze needs to update firm ware for room sensors activity. The face of thermostat should light up or turn on when someone enters room. It does on occasions if I have a light on near it, but most of time I have to stand close and wave my hand at it or leave corner light on. Also would be nice if they would update it so you can opt to turn face on all the time so it can be viewed from across the room. It also seems somewhat temperamental with temperature controlling my forced air system. Photo was taken from 6 ft away and agin at about 3 ft. Great Wireless Thermostat

I really like my wyze thermostat. Work Greant but a word of caution make sure you know what the y2 wire does heat only, cool only or both. I picked both and I was wrong an it caused the heat pump to not be able to change the direction of the reversing value. My fault but still just fyi. Either way great thermostat!Read full review

Wize to choose WYZE

Was fairly easy to set up. The app guides you step by step, then runs a test cycle with heating and cooling. I like the coast to cool feature. It shuts off the AC about a minute or two before the desired temp and keeps the fan running, using up the cool air in the ductwork. Overall it works great, and fairly easy to program.
