Combination door Lock

This was to replace one identical which had been smashed deliberately with some force after a 10year plus life with no problem.

Good all round lock

Works well. I did not find it that easy to change the combination. The order in which you enter the digits does not matter so long as C is first and a letter rathe rd than a digit is last. Used on my workshop - so easy when I have left the keys in the house@Read full review

Worth every penny

The old Yale lock had finally let its last person in and gave up the ghost. I bought this lock because it looked similar so I hoped cut holes would be near. It was an exact match as far as the holes were concerned. Changed the factory set number ( which are randomly set, so as not to be the same) and up it went. So quick and now we are all protected again. Read full review

Changing the combination is not great

Robust looking lock but fiddly to change from the default code. Springs holding buttons are loose and if they drop off whilst you have the back off, good luck in finding on the floor. The metal lugs which you move (tweezers needed) to change the combination number are fiddly and don't always go back into slots readiltRead full review

okay

Only 1 problem. The spring on the spindle fell off and I could not find it. Contacted yale and they we're no help at all. However the lock works fine without it. strange

Good in all aspects. Easy to fit with a drill set And 25mm hole cutter. Suitable for internal and external doors

Poor Quality

Difficult to fit. Lock sticks. Wished we had brought a better quality product. Second Yale product brought will not purchase any more.

Recommended Highly

Does what it says on the tin! Sturdy and easy to fit. Simple to use.

Just remember before cutting any bolts down to size, is that the top and bottom bolts will be of different lengths, so don't cut them both 'til you're sure!

(Also, it was handy having a couple of smaller spare parts in the pack)

As a combination door lock it seems to have a monopoly

Good quality item if bought at the right price. These are frequently seen at a range of prices from under £30 to £80. Personally I wouldn't pay over £50. They are simple to operate and reasonably robust. It's very difficult to find an alternative design by way of a comparison. Many sold under a different name are still the same yale lock underneath.
