Brilliant House Alarm System - easy to install

This is a really great system that was easy to install and works like a dream. I have been put off alarm systems previously as they were usually wired systems and installation was expensive or time consuming. This system is wireless so all the sensors and controls are easy to place and fit but has all the features you would expect inc anti-tamper and Jamming/interference detection.
Although this will work fine 'out of the box' there are numerous settings to personalise the system to your requirements - again very easy to do and will enhance the already great system.
Another bonus is that the system is modular and can be extended as and when. I started with the EF-Kit2 , then added more PIRs and door contacts plus a keypad for use upstairs (for setting/disabling the 'Home Alarm' when we go to bed). This system will accept up to 30 devices so plenty of extension should it be required.
Finally they have a good customer help line which can be very useful especially if you are departing from the general 'factory settings'
Best advice is to read through the manual twice then install in the order stated. It is not complicated, but does take a little to get your head round some of the suggestions.

Note! if you are unsure, then look at the product manual on-line to see what the system provides - you will not be disappointed!

and follow the videos about installing systems or download instruction manual first
to read all about the system, before buying the yale system of your choice

Good, but let down by Pet PIR and Yale support

Easy to set up as it's wireless. Downside batteries need changing every two years, including the siren.

Instructions quite good, but there's an error on page 12. It says the Burgular setting for PIRs etc allows time for entry/exit but it doesn't. You need the Entry setting or you'll set the alarm off when testing like I did!

The Pet PIR clearly works on height not weight, as advertised. I had to mount mine 30cm lower than first attempt to get it to pick anything up. I had to stand on a chair to get it to pick me up.
Not many burgulars would comply with this requirement! This was my query with Yale support, but I had to queue for 20 mins + to get through on phone & they couldn't help. I'm still waiting for an expert to ring me after a week. They said 24 hrs max! I sent a message on the website too, but no response at all.

So, it's fine if you don't need help & you're happy to mess about with the pet PIR if you have pets.Read full review

Simple install, simple operation

Simple to install with pretty good instructions. Easy to use and if you do happen to set it off by mistake the alarm sound is quite deafening and disorientating. Setting the alarm on the way out is a simple two touch operation. Turning the alarm off requires accuracy on the code as if you get it wrong it is nigh on impossible to get the right code in before the alarm goes off. It is not a mistake you want to make often and concentration solves the problem!Read full review

Pure Simplicity

This is an excellent product. Extremely easy to fit. everything is already linked up so all you have to do is unpack it and place the contacts in the correct position. Love the fact it telephones you to inform you of an alert so if you are away from home you know instantly that a contact has been broken. Loud alarm
