An easy step
I wanted to fit a loft ladder but most were too big for my hallway and loft timbers. I bought this one because Youngman make good ladders and I wasn’t disappointed. It was easy to fit and works perfectly. It is really solid when I climb up and it stores away in a very small space. One of the best buys I’ve made-highly recommended.Read full review

Poor quality rubbish.
Received the ladders to find that the fixings to fix the ladder to the loft bracket were two nuts recessed in plastic inside the to of the ladder. Both of the said nuts had fallen out of their recess and were rattling around inside the tubing of the ladders. Three hours of fishing around via a small 1cm hole with a piece of wire, I was able to push the nuts back into the recess where I had placed some blue tack to hold them long enough to screw the bolts in place.
Didn’t discover this until workmen had fixed bracket and new hatch. They were unable to finish the job and.i had to pay them for what they had done..
Ladders are flimsy, poor quality and were broken, as described. Don’t buy they are rubbishRead full review

Needed to fit an extra piece of wood to square off the boarded edge of the loft access on the side where the top of the ladder fits, but after that the ladder installation was straightforward.
