Really fun game! It’s a strategic game that involves checker/chess like maneuvers in order to defeat your opponent. Every capsule monster has different attacks and movements on the various boards provided. The music is really good and varies in each board. You can level up your monsters and much more. Reliving the past but harder than I remember

This is a strategy game. Learning the rules and game play takes time. I used to play this game with my kids so it brings back fond memories.

We played exclusively against the computer players; we never got into head to head duels.

The graphics don't compare to today's consoles and games but for it's day it's rather good. We always like the animations during the duel and I guess others will turn it off.

This was one of favorites that was never ported to the new consoles.

If you want to be playing in 10 minutes and winning this game isn't for you. If like a strategy challenge and are willing to lose some duels to understand how to play and win. And it's not just strategy there is some random chance. Some of the monsters in the duel have terrain advantage or disadvantage. In the middle of the game the terrain can change.

Good Stuff

The disc was a little more scratched than I would have liked, mostly meaning you can't see the damage very well from the pictures in the offer. But I will say it plays beautifully so far. Almost done with the main story, and the only problem is that there is a pop sound everytime I proceed through dialog. It was worth the money to relive the memories, and discover stuff I didn't even know was in the game back in the day. Like being able to fuse monsters. LolRead full review
