Unpacked it, connected it and it worked. One wants nothing more from a product than it does that which is expected of it. TV sound is now very good through my DENON amplifier. For those who have never used this type of connection before, watch out for the plastic protectors on the ends when you try to fit the cable. They need to come off first. They are easily missed. Just to confirm this cable worked well. It connects a soundbar to a smart TV. There are little safety caps on the connector ends to protect them during transport which was nice. Cable is OK
Sadly, I was not wearing my glasses while plugging this in, and did not notice the little see-though end cap. So, in the process of fitting the plug, I messed up my XBox360 digital audio socket. Can't blame the seller for this, of course, but just me being stupid. Any ideas how to fix the socket, anyone?

On my mother's old tv she could have her Sennheiser headphones and normal tv speakers at the same time. When she got a new tv this was no longer the case: the headphone jack effectively blocked the tv speakers - so she could not leave her headphones plugged in when she wanted normal tv speakers. Instead she had to fiddle around at the back of the tv and try to find the right socket to put the headphones in when needed - quite a tricky process for an 89 year old and very alarming to watch. This cable, combined with a Digital COAX OPTICAL SPDIF Toslink to Analog RCA L/R Audio Adapter DAC Converter means that, once more, the headphones and tv speakers can work simultaneously. FABULOUS! Only downside is that it is really tricky to put into the adapter - you feel like you are going to break one or the other and even then it is not a tight fit so if she knocks it it may stop working until it's corrected.Read full review...

This is fantastic, its a cable right but it has this light that goes through it
instead of copper wire, so it must send the sound through it at the speed
of light, which means the sound goes through quicker, faster beats and
stuff.
If you tape the cable to the end of a torch and turn it on in the dark,
spin it around for a little light show. Its not very good for tying things up
though, you cant get it to a tight knot so just keep to using string or
rope, zip ties are good, tape also, especially the strong gaffa tape stuff.Read full review...
