Mashed fingers and extremely complicated.
The Phil & Ted Dot is a fiddly pram to use. It a jack of all trades, master of none. We have a 2 year old toddler and newborn. The pram is heavy and needs to be completely taken apart, and then put back together if you want to store it or put it in the boot for a journey. Slotting the pieces back together results in many trapped or mashed fingers, and is not quick to do by the side of the road.
The adapters do the job, but sit loose on the frame, so the car seat does not slot straight on. You have to put on one side (not easy to see whilst you're holding the car seat, then adjust the other side to align.
When folding the car seat for the boot, once again the adaptors will aslo have to come off. Two opposable thumbs per hand and a degree required.
Overall the build quality isn't great and it's complicated, but it does the job. The adaptors were good value 2nd hand, but way too expensive to buy new for what they do. Go for a different pram completely.Read full review...
