Copper is hard to remove from tanks

For those of you who treat with copper, I find it difficult to remove copper after treating with Cupramine. 100% water changes and running carbon along with Cuprisorb still yields .10 reading on Hanna copper tester. Contacted rep who said to run Cuprisorb for 1-2 weeks. Not sure how most hobbyists run their hospital tanks, however, changing over to Paraguard would be lethal if any copper is left.
