Good value

Nice little kit for the money. Lots of sizes, so it should work for almost any vehicle. Don't expect miracles when pulling the old bearing however. I live on the East coast of Canada (New Brunswick) and severe corrosion of anything metal here is just a fact of life. The only cure to remove old bearings is a 2.5 lb hammer, so removing the hub from the vehicle is really the only way. (and you don't need a slide hammer to remove the spindle this way) The kit provides all of the necessary bushings to make this easy though. Removing the race from the hub requires a split puller, so be prepared. A local auto parts chain here has a loan-a-tool program, so you may want to explore that in your area, as you will need an axle nut socket and maybe a ball joint seperator as well. The kit makes reassembly a breeze, especially if you have an impact wrench. I am very happy with the addition of this kit to my tool crib and it paid for itself on the first wheel bearing. TIP: most frustrating part of the job may be removing the snap ring. Try tapping around it with a blunt chisel and getting some WD in there to loosen it up. Use your Channel Locks to hook the end of the ring and with a little patience, you should get it to move enough to get a screwdriver in behind it.Read full review

Broke during my first use.

The head of the bolt snapped clean off, exposing the poor quality of the material used to cast the bolt. Not much else to say except for be careful while using this tool kit as it can cause severe harm to you, I smashed my hand on the ground when the bolt snapped and slowly watched the swelling of my hand to twice its size.Read full review

A bit heavy but certainly does the job well

I used it to replace the front wheel bearings on 2005 BMW 325xi (AWD). The old bearings were in there quite tight, but after taking out the hub flange using a slide hammer, I managed to remove the bearing with this tool kit without having to remove the bearing carrier off the car. The 32mm bolt head and nut require a large wrench or socket to drive it, luckily I had those on hand. I needed a 2' long breaker bar to break the bearings loose. I found the perfect size adaptors for both removal and installation of the bearings. Highly recommend this tool kit.Read full review

Great tool!

Used it for the first time and easily removed a bearing. I tired to do it by hand like many say with a breaker bar but it is quite tough. I ended up using a impact wrench which runs max 155 psi. Pushed that bearing out in no time. After using the impact to take it out i proceeded to push the new bearing in with the impact as well with no problems at all. Like others said, definitely oil the tools up, it will save a ton of unwanted stress on the main bolt, don't want that to break.Read full review

Did the good perfectly

I ordered this one due to the harbor freight set cost 2x as much. Worked perfect has proper adapters for mazda protege unlike the harbor freight kit that must be modified to work on my car. Great deal all around.Read full review

no problem removing bearings in 11 year old car driven in salt area

I used this to remove the front wheel bearings from an 11 year old car, with original bearings, that is driven in winter conditions and exposed to plenty of road salt. It worked exactly as expected and more than paid for itself with that one job. I suggest lubricating the forcing screw with high pressure grease. Work slow and smart. Double check fiitment if tension feels too high (I made error initially and was only compressing the bearing - not forcing it out - doh!). To get the bearings cracked free I cranked up the tension. Then tapped the knuckle with a small hammer until I heard the "crack" as the bearing broke free. There was lot of force, but not crazy. Then both bearings pressed out easily.Read full review

Excellent quality Wheel Bearing Tool

good quality, the coarse thread bolt is ideal (over others fine thread bolt), this is much stronger! I don't know why I never bought myself this before. Now I don't have to go to the machine shop to replace front wheel bearings.Read full review
