Good music, too much “studio magic”

It is obvious Mick Jones and Lou Gramm put all their heart and soul into “4.” I was shocked however to read in the liner notes there were as many as eight session players on the album. I don’t think Donald Fagan and Walter Becker used that many on any Steely Dan album. Regardless “4” is deserving of all its accolades despite having been promoted as a four piece band at the time.Read full review
