Great modem for the money

Works great on Xfinity, plenty fast and reliable. Excellent price for the speed. Only flaws are that it boots up much slower than previous models, and isn't a simple plug-and-play install: you have to register it with your cable provider, and the first one I tried was defective.Read full review

Questionable sale - Defective

It was defective and I was not able to use it. The power adapter did not fit the modem.Then I borrowed a power adapter and called Comcast to activate the modem,but they couldn't activate because it is STILL active on the previous owner's account. Great Modem

I recently upgraded from an Arris SB-6141 to the SB-6190 and it doubled my Internet connection speed plan. Arris says the SB-6141 is capable of 343 Mbps download speeds but the fastest I ever saw was 180 Mbps. The SB-6190 is capable of 1.4 Gbps. After connecting the SB-6190 I am now seeing an average speed of 300 Mbps and that is on a 150 Mbps Internet plan.Read full review

The case is the right shape, the pins on the headers are all the same length....
There really is nothing this modem can't do that it's supposed to.
This is my first premod ever. I was writing tutorials on SBH for the DPC 2100/2100r2 and the SB 5101 back in the day, so modding is nothing new to me.
